As the form of personal computing becomes increasingly fixed, we began asking a simple question: Is there still room for the PC to evolve? Not through more brute-force performance, but through a true evolution of form—an experience that expands as freely as your ideas.
This thinking led to the creation of the Khadas Mind Series: modular mini PCs designed for flexible, shape-shifting computing. The concept quickly gained recognition across the industry. From becoming an official Intel partner, to receiving the iF Design Award, to earning genuine praise from creators worldwide, the response has been clear. Khadas Mind is not a niche gadget for a small group of enthusiasts. It is a mature, proven approach to modular computing.

Intel × Khadas: Shaping the Future of Personal Computing
Since the launch of the first-generation Khadas Mind in 2023, Khadas and Intel have been working closely together to explore new possibilities for personal computing. We believe everyone should be able to shape their workflow the way they build LEGO—freely, intuitively, and without constraints.
Today, users juggle multiple devices for different tasks, leading to fragmented workflows and loss of productivity. Therefore, Intel and Khadas aim to introduce a new era of modular computing, together. The Khadas Mind is powered by Intel Core processors, which offers the freedom of adapting to various workflows and scenarios. This journey isn't just about technology; it's about collaboration. Intel and Khadas are striving for the common goal of elevating lives through innovation. —Bin Fu, General Manager of Intel’s Client Computing Group Category, PRC Region (Sep. 27, 2023)
Powered by our proprietary Mind Link connection technology and the stable performance of Intel® Core™ processors, Khadas Mind brings true “one device, multiple forms” modularity to life. Whether you’re attaching a dock or pairing an external GPU, you can switch effortlessly between ultra-portable productivity and high-performance creation.

In 2024, with the introduction of Khadas Mind Maker Kit, our collaboration entered a new phase. Khadas officially became an Intel AI PC Development Partner, joining forces to advance the future of intelligent computing experiences.
Over the course of two generations of the Mind Series, Khadas and Intel have worked closely to develop the Mind Maker Kit. The compact design of the Mind Series enhances portability while optimizing workspace efficiency, significantly improving the overall user experience. Furthermore, the Mind Link interface supports PCIe 5.0 x8 bandwidth, ensuring that the solution is future-proofed and ready to meet developer needs. — Carla Rodríguez, Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Client Software Ecosystem
From personalized computing setups to next-generation AI workflows, the Khadas Mind series, together with Intel’s powerful platform, redefines what personal computing can achieve.

Design and Patents: Where Aesthetics Meet Engineering
Since Khadas was founded in 2016, we’ve been pursuing a simple idea: great performance deserves great design. That conviction shapes every detail across the Mind, Maker, and Music product lines.
The Khadas Mind Series is built from CNC-machined anodized aluminum with a unibody construction. Clean edges, precise chamfers, and an elegant visual language reflect our belief that a productivity device should feel refined, not merely functional. It should elevate your workspace, not be something you feel compelled to tuck away.
This combination of modular thinking and thoughtful industrial design earned the Khadas Mind Family the 2024 iF Design Award. As the iF jury noted, “With a click, it adapts to various tasks and workflows, replacing the need for multiple devices like desktops, laptops, and tablets. This modular computer eliminates issues like file copying, format conversion, and dealing with multiple OSes while saving electricity and reducing e-waste. It adapts to your changing needs throughout the day, from sleek tablet mode for meetings to a powerful desktop with a GPU for graphics work and a multi-screen workstation for managing your stock portfolio, boost your productivity and satisfaction.”
The Mind Series now holds design patents in China, the EU, and the United States. Yet for us, design is never just about appearance. Innovative engineering is what allows form and function to evolve together.

Inside the chassis, innovation continues. A magnetic base cover opens with a gentle press, making SSD expansion as effortless as opening a bottle. This screw-free structure is protected by a Chinese utility model patent.

For cooling, Mind integrates a vapor-chamber thermal system within its slim frame. Dual side inlets, a VC liquid cooling heatsink, and pure copper fins work in tandem to maintain stable performance even under sustained load. This design also holds a Chinese utility model patent.

At the center of the modular ecosystem is the Khadas-developed Mind Link interface. It supports PCIe 5.0 x8 bandwidth and combines high-speed data, multi-protocol communication, and power delivery in a single magnetic connector. No cables, no hassles, just snap and use. Reinforced construction ensures more than 10,000 connection cycles and is protected by a Japanese invention patent.

KOL and User Voices: Real Feedback That Resonates
Since the first-generation release, the modular design of the Khadas Mind Series has caught the attention of tech creators and reviewers worldwide. We invited several of them to share their thoughts and hands-on experiences. Here’s what they had to say.
01 Linus Tech Tips
At CES 2014, Razer unveiled an idea that would completely change how we build computers. A modular, high-performance, mineral oil-cooled chassis, hardware upgrades as easy as plugging in a USB device. But Project Christine’s promises were as easy as they were enticing, and every subsequent attempt we’ve seen at this kind of modularity, has ultimately failed, even from some very big names, which makes it all the more surprising that a smaller manufacturer, Khadas, is making a big move into the space with an absolutely tiny modular computer called the Khadas Mind. This is far and away the most refined attempt at a modular ecosystem that I have ever seen.

Overall, really impressed with the performance here. I've been able to play every AAA game that I wanted to on this little machine now with the Mind Graphics attached. And remember we can put this thing to sleep, detach the mini PC and use the mini PC by itself with the iGPU. Put it back to sleep mode, and when we want to game we can just go ahead and redock it. I like the built-in speakers. It does sound pretty good. It adds a lot of extra IO to the Mind Mini PC and the fact that we can actually use this with other devices over USB4, Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 is pretty great.
03 tom’s guide
If you’re looking for the most portable mini PC possible and want the option to expand its capabilities after the fact, the Khadas Mind is a great option. If portability or size aren’t that important to you though, you can get a more powerful mini PC for less. However, you’d be hard pressed to find one that looks as good as the Khadas Mind and uses USB-C for power instead of a bulky barrel-port connector.
04 Real Reviews from Users
A full-fledged Windows PC with more processing power, memory, and hard drive space than my laptop, in a form factor about the size of two decks of cards. So now, instead of a laptop with a dedicated charger in my bag, I have my Khadas Mind, VR glasses, and one charger that powers everything. It doesn't set up quite as quickly as a laptop, but once it is I'm remarkably more comfortable using it, especially for longer working sessions. My backpack is lighter, and my neck no longer hurts from crouching over a laptop like a caveman. —from Christopher Skinner’s Amazon Review
I really love that it has a pretty big battery, because that means during power outages and issues like that, it should basically never turn off, provided there's no prolonged power outage. It's been able to handle basically any and all office work I've thrown at it, as well as any of the dev work I've thrown at it - lots of heavy c# dev in Visual Studio and it hasn't missed a beat. —from Logan Fernandes’ Amazon Review
Design Excellence: Finally, someone understands that tech can look as good as it performs. These machines are beautifully engineered aluminum ingots, not plastic bricks. We manage, research and create - heavy users of MS Office, Adobe CC, Affinity suite, music software (Finale, Ableton) plus all the usual productivity apps. We travel frequently and need reliable, portable computing power. The Mind 2 and Mind Dock offer all that in spades. —from Phil the Geek’s Amazon Review
